Maine Event: Day 73
There is so much to do that I will keep this short. It was a day of sun and clouds and the air is crisp and cold. It's wonderful to be out and be warm with cold cheeks. I'm eager to be back and see all of you. Be in my own home and visit friends and family and also nature in Marin.
Rosemary brought us lasagne and we made greens and also had a salad with as much as we could creatively add to it from the fridge. Having her here has been such a gift on so many levels.
This morning to wake up we walked down to the post office to return our keys and give up our post office box. This is the view down our big street before it becomes even bigger. Out where we are is less wide and has a more neighborhoody feel.
One thing to note is that there are many Ginkgo trees here. And this time of year they throw down little yellow balls that smell atrocious. I seriously thought we would miss this horrible event because the snow would hide them from people stepping on them and protect my nose, but no!

This is all to say that we only got to take our compost to the garden late in the day. Things have changed significantly. This was covered with green beans.

Those lovely blustery days really wreaked havoc in the garden. These fallen over plants were four large stakes of green beans well over six feet tall. They were knocked over and uprooted - alas.

Harbor View Park looks quite different at the end of the day.

The Fore river

Still the Fore river looking the other way out towards the Atlantic and the islands.

The weather also meant many trees have fewer leaves. Morning light is definitely better for this tree.

Happy Halloween (almost).

Twilight on our block.

Puddles remain from the storm. Yes, the brick sidewalks can be lumpy.

Have a reflective night.
Sending oodles of love,
Tawnia
