ME II: rain, thunder, lightning, oh my!

The day started off just like most other days with clouds and a little fog and a little blue sky. The flowers are all abloom and beauty everywhere. Then later on there was an incredible thunder and lightning and mega rain storm that was astounding. I was in a work meeting sitting by the window and there was a thunderclap so loud that it made me and the person I was zooming with also jump. Then lightning hit across the street at the school and even with the blinds closed it lit up the house. The windows leaked in the front of the house and then a few hours later it is all over. I had gone to the fish market early and got some west coast wild salmon. Dinner was delicious with sauteed thinly sliced turnips, a salad, and the salmon with a little powdered harissa on it along with lemon zest. We are still grinding night and day on the app wish us luck to get this out by September 1. One more week to go! Then we will be able to have a bit more fun.

giant crane leaning over trees
It's hard to explain the size of this crane to work on a small two-story building. It was right out our front door most of the day. The other day we saw a man weeding in his front tiny garden bed by his house with a chain saw. When all you have is a hammer...
high and tight barber
The local barbershop. High and Tight is a military variant of the crew cut. It's the closest hair shop, I wonder what they would make of me if I were to go in there. It feels like it's strictly for people who want high and tight hairdos.
bright hot pink flowers filling the frame
Pink is the color of the day.

Rain out the backdoor. It really came down.

Rain out the front door...This was just before the giant thunderclap and lightning strike.
