ME II: cooking day
It was another quiet day. We slept in a little and then went grocery shopping for a few things. We got in several walks and cooked a little for the week ahead. It was so fun to just cook together and do little things. It did heat up the house but worth it. We cooked some soldier beans (also known as red eye beans) and made hummus. We also made Judith's Morroccan rice salad which is superb. On one of our walks we made it back to the Western Cemetary which has a vast number of trees and which attracts the birds. We went to see if we could more easily tell the difference between the maples but went on an alternate course of trying to tell the difference between the conifers. It was wonderfully cool this morning but heated up during the day to 77° with a little mugginess. Currently it's 67° and 90% humidity - there is no wind so it can easily feel warm if you walk. It's so lovely to have the app live and to actually have a relaxing three day weekend. The highlight of the day is that we saw a pair of Merlins fly super fast up to each other and have a loud conversation just off Harbor View Park.

Have a wonderful evening!
