ME II: Happy Equinox

May we hold each other close as we step day by day into the dark time of the year when the days are short and the cold ebbs in around your wrists and ankles. Let us all celebrate coziness and find time for hygge (the Danish studied and documented form of coziness - trust me they have this one down). I assure you it is not about shopping and buying the right thing to "look" cozy as it is being marketed. Matt is home and life is good again. The days and nights are roughly equal and that in itself seems worthy of celebration. The full abundance of the summer and fall crops is available.

Fall is officially here and the trees are starting to change. We have high winds that are really cold and tomorrow we will get some real waves from Hurricane Fiona as it heads to Canada! How strange is that. Here is a PBS article on why it is cold instead of warm and why there is no eye.

In sobering news, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, reports that the approximate number of people killed in roadway deaths last year was 43,000 the greatest number in 16 years. Be careful out there and don't drive unless you really need to. It would all be better if everyone drove a golf cart top speed 30mph. That would also make you reconsider if you really needed to go. Cars make everything too easy.
