ME III: Happy Halloween

It was a remarkably beautiful day here. It was a crisp 31° when we got up which was also the low and the high was 43°. Everything was so clear, the sky so blue and the clouds so happy. It feels even cooler because there is a little breeze that feels like it goes right through you. My memories of Halloween as a child were that it was always freezing cold and all costumes were covered up by giant long coats and you were shivering the whole time anyways. My mom controlled the sugar so we didn't go trick or treating but our house was turned into a haunted house and there was apple bobbing and the party was outdoors and boy was it always cold. Even in the house was cold because the doors were open as people went in for thrills of things like bowls of peeled grapes to put your hands in that were labeled brains.

Anyway, tomorrow is going to be even colder!

And in honor of the day here is the best film ever to celebrate Halloween.

This also means we only have three days left! I'm so amazed and astounded the time went so fast and also excited to see you all and sleep in my own bed. HOME!!!

Wowie the morning was just incredibly vivacious, crisp, and with deep color saturation and endless visibility.
A little frost here and there
rooftop frost
And the grass and plants at the community garden
Look how close the islands feel
This is the home of the white-throated sparrow

It is really wonderful to have some authentically cold days. It's a joy to be alive.

Have a witchy wonderful night.

Sending love, Tawnia

13 species of bird today. Always nice to hear the geese calling overhead as they pass:
