ME III: 2 more days...

The chaos and calm of the end days are with us. Today was another glorious crisp fall day that firmly plants apples on your cheeks so that you cannot not smile. The high today was 45° and the low was a chilly 31° and tomorrow is expected to be colder. It was another busy day at work. Tomorrow I'm working part of the day and then will be busy wrapping up here, doing the last bits of laundry, and taking care of last-minute details. Early this morning in the cold we went to the farmers market to get some of their delicious carrots to make carrot sticks for our trip. Then launched into our busy work days. By the time we were done, it was dark outside. Dark season is beginning.

Holy moly it's November and that means a whole slew of holidays and birthdays are right around the corner. I'm so ready to be back it is funny.

One article I read is about renaming birds. I don't know how I'll keep up except switch to learn the Latin names.

And here is another article that shares strategies of what communities are doing to become more resilient to climate change. It is rather inspiring to see what people are working on.

Deering Park where the summer farmers market is held. Last week they drained the pond. Now it is just mud.
It really looks like autumn around here.
My friend the Red Oak of Spring St. super bright sun and when it is this cold even the little warmth it gives off is precious.
