ME III: Sad day

Today the weather is starting on a warming trend the low was 54° and the high 72°. It's very strange to all of a sudden not need a coat or scarf. We are still busy working away and I think that will continue for a few more weeks alas. Meanwhile, we need to figure out how to wrap up here and get ready to head home. I've had a little headache all day.

I did read about dinosaur birds and boy are they scary! That said not as scary as the mass shooting that happened in Lewiston, Maine last night. More than scary it is just plain heartbreaking. Lewiston is about 30 miles or so from here. It is one of the most diverse cities in Maine. I read a few years ago that immigrant families could afford to live there and then work in the more wealthy coastal areas. In Portland today virtually all the stores and restaurants have closed. This is a shocking event and it feels like the people of Maine need to take a moment. Why our politicians don't do something is beyond me. No one needs AR-15 guns and everyone needs mental health support. This is the 36th mass shooting this year in the US. One must ask why is there so much violence everywhere in the world.

This White Ash was green, then yellow, and now this!

In the upper window that is the nearly full moon perfectly reflected. The camera loses the detail of the moon.

Even the weeping willow is starting to get some yellow leaves.

Remember to stay in touch with your feelings.
