ME III: One day left
Today was another crisp cool autumn day. The sun was out and little puff puff clouds here and there. There was a little breeze that felt cold in the long shadows of morning. The high was 46° and the low was 28°. Matt worked a full busy day today and I took most of the day off to clean and get our stuff in order. There are still many little things to do to get ready and some you can't do until the last minute. Tomorrow will be the big day for wrapping everything up and hopefully, we will get a chance to go one last time to Peaks Island. Then on Saturday, we leave early for our great voyage.
I've been thinking about all the violence in the world. How the media covers the two wars that are getting US funds and weapons. The media has so much power to control what we think as well as our emotions. Meanwhile, I've been trying to stay open and aware of the violence against Armenians in Nagorno-Karabakh and the mass exodus that is underway. Azerbaijan is being accused of cultural genocide. You can read more about it here. Below is a song by Arpi Alto. She canceled her performance at the Batumi Black Seat Music Festival to protest the 120,000 people who are being forced to leave their homes or face ethnic cleansing.
If that is too much here is Yo-Yo Ma playing Bach's Cello Suite No. 1
I think listening to a little music might be good for us all right now. I'm grateful for the many artists that continue to produce such awe-filled work.

I appreciate you all and hope to see you all in the flesh soon.
Sending love, Tawnia
