Usual usual Monday

Today was the first day back at work after vacation, and it was a little hard to launch and get going in the morning. In the end, it went just fine. There are birds everywhere, and beauty to be found wherever you look. Work is busy as usual, but many things have been happening while I was away, and that is pure magic. Meanwhile, the world feels like it's on fire. In other worlds, one of my favorite people is having a birthday. Hey you, Happy (actual) Birthday!

For years, I would walk past the back of this and think it was dog hell, with so much howling and barking. Turns out it's just doggie daycare!
Emiliano Zapata Street Academy, where super decked out cute as heck kids go for a safe, small, social-justice focused education. It's been doing great work for 50 years!
Office orchid in my care survived my vacation too.
After work, we headed over to Drake's Dealership for a drink and to chat with a former staff person who is back in town.

Same image on two different evenings. Tonight is super foggy, and the top of Twin Peaks is gone, Sutro Tower is gone, and so is all of downtown! We are cozy in our small corner of the world.
