Full Snow Moon
Sunday, after a six-day work week, is pretty busy. I'm so grateful that normally we have two days off in a row. I remember working service jobs, and trying to get into a schedule with two days off in a row was always the goal. One day to do laundry and clean, and one day to be social outside of work. This was our catch-up day to get ready for the week.
It's February already. Good golly! The plum trees and magnolias are putting on a show all over town. It's a beautiful time of year in the city. Daylight is increasing, and local asparagus will soon be available, as will local avocados. We are so lucky so much grows locally all winter long, but there are still things to look forward to if you are eating locally grown food.
Unfortunately, the ridge that is causing the bad winter air for me is also causing fewer storms to reach the mountains, and snow is dwindling.
And good news out of Texas, of all places!

7:13 am – 5:33 pm, which is 10 hours and 20 minutes of daylight!
Sending oodles of love,
Tawnia
