Happy 91st, Dick!

It was Father's Day, celebration of Dick's birthday, and Summer Solstice all on the same day. Early in the day I had a wonderful espresso at Stable Cafe with my dear friend Lisa and caught up on things. Then in the afternoon headed over to the East Bay to celebrate with the birthday boy. We had a sweet gathering with family and friends. Dinner was ribs, baked beans, green beans and salad and two kinds of pie. The weather even cooperated with warmish cool fog and sun.

Here's a Father's Day note from HCR

Dick: May you find joy in your birthday and in everyday. We love you to pieces!

Cats of San Francisco (and yes there was a House Sparrow a top a no parking sign)
Mt. Tam!
Even Alcatraz can look wonderful in this light. Like a fort on an island!
Still pretty foggy in The City

The bird of the day is a Forster's Tern

Here is a poem for you.

The blog will be taking a break and will resume during Maine vacation, and when the spirit moves me.

Sending oodles of love,
