Peaks day 12

We had a great day. We went on two fabulous walks in the forested inland parts of the island. The two highlights are that we saw a baby toad about the size of my little finger up to the fist joint. The ones a couple of years ago on the same hike were about postage stamp size but that was in September or so. We also saw the Yellow-crowned Night Heron again which is rare here and it is such a beauty!

At the end of the day we went out to the one very good fancy restaurant here called Fore Street. We had five minutes to make it to the ferry or wait an hour so we hustled and the whistle blew as we were running down the plank but we made it!

It was cooler today and the next couple days will be warmer and more muggy.
